When occupation rate of elevators reach 60 – 70 %, no other passengers get in the elevators. That is to say, elevator answers all calls made over its course continues stopping at those stories even if no passengers shall get in it. In addition, especially in Public Buildings, hospitals and hotels, the elevator car is occupied with luggage, bags, etc. accompanying the passengers.

Since ordinary full load / overload determining function cannot determine this situation, elevators keep going to an stopping at those floors where nobody do or can get in. By means of camera sensor, it’s possible to operate elevators in a more efficient and quicker way, to save energy by 25% thanks to decreased number of stopping and moving and to increase their operational life time to twofold. Camera sensor continuously checks if there is enough room inside the elevator car and signals control system accordingly. |
